but I'm not sure if it will fit in- for those of you who don't know our kitchen is dark red and turquoise.I want to refinish/paint this chair. I was thinking maybe a cream or white, but I'm not completely sold on that idea.
And then there's this table- no idea what to do with it or where it will go- but it's coming in our house.
I have to ask- can copper be painted? I really like the shape of this bed frame but not so much the copperness of it all.
So here I am asking for all of your wonderful ideas and helpful hints. And I promise that if I ever get them finished I will post the end results. Which might be a little scary.

I'd love to come see your girl's place! I love looking at other people's junk. And, I have no idea what I'm doing, but I love decorating and all that good stuff, so if you ever want a hand, let me know. {Send me an email, or give a holler, if you want.} I'd love to just come and help out. There's nothing better to me, than getting my hands dirty in a good pile of junk. ;)
This is some cool stuff. I'm always partial to cream or white (for the chair). But I also love color! It'd be really cool if you painted it a color, and then you could refinish the seat in a fabric that ties into whichever color you go with. What colors are you using around your house...? You could match it to an accent color.
Oh my gosh. Lol! I could go on and on. I love this stuff. And I love to talk about it. {Obviously.} ;)
I'm off to see what I can find about painting copper...and how to do it. I'll let you know what I find. {Told ya this is fun stuff for me.} ;)

Finally - I get to see the chair! Kiitos. I like the chair as it is (for paint anyway, the seat maybe could use a face lift) You could just polyerthane (sp?) it and call it good. Are we on for this weekend?
I think Joan's got the better idea! I love crackled paint. It has so much character.

hello. the bed is probably painted copper, but made of iron or even brass. with the right prep and primer, you can paint anything.
