This business is in PR, but I'm not to sure what it is. I saw their business card at work today and it got me curious. Anybody that has ever heard of this place, or would like to go find it and go there, please let me know :)

Tonight I was digging through my box of crafty stuff, and found my bead box. I opened it thinking I would do a quick inventory of what I had...and, well, came out with these necklaces a few hours later.

I used to make a lot of jewelry a few years ago. Somehow in these last few years, it just got pushed to the back burner and eventually it fell off the stove. Tonight made me remember how therapeutic the simple task of putting beads on a wire is. It's crazy how something so tedious can be such a great stress reliever.

To me, the best part of making jewelry is knowing that you can take tiny little things and put them together and create a unique piece that no one else will have.

i say...UNCLE!!

So, how do you keep your blog a little bit exciting when you have nothing to blog about?


Joan- you sit still- pictures of the 'do are on. the. way. I would suggest holding your breath, but chances are you'd be holding it for a long time. So, nice me, i'm not going to recommend that.


Ughh. I give you permission to disregard this post and pretend it never happened. Except Joan, who can't because then she might forget what a nice little sister she has :)

I thought I'd join Jen in sharing my alter-ego with the rest of you, so bear with me on this one.

Ava is sun-shiney, independant, rather spontaneous and somewhat mysterious (is it even possible to be sun-shiney and mysterious at the same time?). She lives in the country on an old farm. She has a garden, a few horses, a bunch of chickens, and a dog named Skipper. She is a photographer that has captured the small, unnoticed details of everyday life across the world. She's a little bit of a hippy, and a little bit like Annie Oakley. She digs old, funky stuff and has a style that is uniquely her own. She might be married and have kids, but then again she might not. She's rather undecided in that area of her life. She enjoys digging through old, dirty stuff. She has a little cabin in the middle of the forrest that she goes to frequently. She enjoys the outdoors, thunderstorms, and going for Sunday drives. She has an emense shoe and jewelry collection that consist of many off the wall pieces that many people find hideous. She drives an old jeep with wood paneling, or a well-used pickup. She enjoys drinking tea on her front porch. Ummm...I think the mysterious side of her is coming out... I'm not sure what else she does or enjoys. I'll be sure to keep you updated as I discover more :P

This was my car this morning. (Note the drift on my windshield) I am just giddy with anticipation when I think that shortly I'll be lucky enough to drive 30 miles to work. On unplowed roads. YAY!

Wednesdays might be the bane of my existence

I dread wednesdays. Give me mondays WAY before wednesdays. I think i'm going to invent my own little calander that eliminates wednesdays. I think i'll have two fridays instead...that way i can tell people that wednesdays won't work for anything... cause they don't exist in my own little world...or it would make me sound super busy & important....hmmm...

Anyway, the reason that i now hate wednesdays is because four of my five classes decided that the due dates should be wednesday. This wouldn't be a problem, but me being the Queen of Procrastination and all, i have a reputation to uphold. So therefore, i spend 3-4 hours every wednesday night at my computer doing my work for the week (or two). It's so great, it almost makes me want to gauge my eyeballs out. with a spoon.


Also, anyone got any ideas as to what I can do with myself tomorrow night.. I'm banned from our house...

Scary Stuff

Whats wrong with these pictures? Well... thats me in them. with a hairdo like that. to go to kyds. Yikes. I'm getting way to girly. I do not like it at all. So not me. And yes, thats-GASP!- pink that i'm wearing. I'm shuttering at the thought that I almost went to kyds like that. Thankfully my car didn't start (hence the previous post) so nobody got to see my utterly too feminine streak that I got tonight. My only saving grace was that I would have worn my Carhartt. And drove my ridiculously dirty car.

Whew! glad I got all that off my chest.

***Disclaimer: I do not have anything against people that like to spend a long time getting ready and wearing pink. Its just not me. At all.
